Boasting the regions finest local and international wine list, and premier location, smack dab in the middle of the Grand Valley’s budding historic creative district, 7TH & GRAND WINE BAR offers much needed WINE, FOOD and DESSERT pairing to this popular block of downtown Grand Junction.
7th & Grand Wine Bar is housed in the historic Lowell School. Built in 1925, this prominent structure on the corner of 7th & Grand, is on the National Register of Historic Places, and is fast becoming the new marketplace for the Main Street corridor. The school also houses Gemini Beer Company, as well as Blue Herron Coffee.
The interior space has a decidedly SPEAKEASY VIBE. Blue and gold velvet chairs and drapes, a baby grand piano in the corner, comfortable swivel seating along its long marble bar, and an 800 bottle wine library exposed to all, complete with a rolling ladder to assist in finding your favorite selections.
The wine bars expansive OUTDOOR DINING VERANDA will be the largest in the downtown district. At 5000 square feet, this garden space will be adorned with the best of Mediterranean flair. Stately cypresses will line its borders, grape vines crawling up its pergola walls, fountains and crushed limestone paths greeting all. The stage and dance floor will create a unique experience to the grand valley, with live music promised twice a week during agreeable weather.
7th & Grand Wine Bar offers wine by the glass from a curated collection, or by the bottle, from a diverse wine library featuring over 100 selections, including the best of nearby Palisade’s award winning wines (just 15 minutes away) and other offerings from Western Colorado’s growing wine movement. The selection is thoughtfully curated to complement each offering on the menu.
7th & Grand Wine Bar highlights an array of Mediterranean dishes that allow guests the flexibility to let their meal tell a story of their choosing.
Guests will find familiar, signature lite Greek and Italian mezes/antipasto fare including; Carbonara Arancini, Chopped Italian Salad, Kalamata Greek Salad, Pan-fried Scamorza with Arugula Salad, Spanakopita,Saganaki, Lamb and Steak Souvlaki, Bruschetta, Yiayia’s Meatballs, Ricotta and Roasted Tomato Bruschetta with Pancetta, Autumn Fritto Misto, Burrata Caprese Salad, Shrimp Scampi, Gourmet pizza by the slice, Gyros, Dolmathes, and rotating seasonal fare.
The dessert menu includes; Tiramisu, Panna Cotta, Tartufo, Zabaione, Pastiera Napoletana, Cassata, Seada, Torta Mimosa, Baklava, Cotta, Galaktoboureko, Kataifi, Bougatsa, and Loukoumades.
Guests can rediscover an array of food and drink that have a story to tell. The cocktail program – classic libations with a twist, utilizing the menu’s comprehensive wine library, local ciders, freshly squeezed juices, and house made infusions, ensures guests continue to visit time and again, and enjoy a new experience each time.
Furthermore, the wine and appetizer menu will be open to the general public at the outdoor dining veranda seen by all passersby moving into Grand Junction’s Historic and popular Main Street District.
